Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all my family and friends.

I was blessed to have a wonderful Christmas. I am spending the Christmas holiday with my sister and brother-in-law.

On Christmas Eve my brother and his family came over. Today, my sister and brother-in-laws children and grandchildren came over.

Pictures have been posted in my Christmas gallery on smugmug which can be found at: www.h31719.smugmug.com

I wish that all of my friends in the Dominican Republic could have had as a blessed Christmas as I have had. Unfortunately, there is some major unrest in one of the villages I have worked in there. Please pray for the people of the Ascension Village. Last week some Haitians that live near the village knifed a motorcyle taxi driver so they could steal his motorcycle. The taxi driver who was Dominican died from his injuries. The Dominicans formed a mob to retaliate against the Haitians so they ransacked and looted the Ascension Village. From what I have heard, the people who live in Ascension Village heard that this was going to happen and they were able to leave the village and they are staying away until things calm done. However, I have also heard that possibly some of the Dominican mob has moved into the houses in the village. If this is the case, I don't know what is going to happen. Please pray for the people who live in the Ascension Village that they will be able to move back into their homes and peace will be restored. This is the village I have written about earlier in my blog that makes the HOPE jewelry and that also has the HOPE sewing center.
